Breeze Life Coaching offers several training programs in Mindfulness for adults.

Workshops that include the fundamentals of Mindfulness in combination with other disciplines like Art (Intuitive Painting), Pilates (Mind & Body) and Food coaching (Mindful Weight Loss) are also available for adults. All these workshops are created and delivered in cooperation with highly trained professionals with their own field of expertise. 

Most programs and workshops are aimed at groups, but individual Mindfulness training  or individual workshops are optional upon request.

Families are a wonderful group to be trained in Mindfulness.

Parents and children from as young as 5 years old participate in exercises together. This creates a wonderful bond and lowers levels of stress that might be present in the home. Parents and children can learn from each other  

In the last decade interest in providing Mindfulness training to schoolchildren has been growing.

A recent review of the literature on the impact of Mindfulness on children and young people concluded that Mindfulness training for young people is easy to carry out, fits into a wide range of contexts, is enjoyed by both students and teachers and does no harm. Well conducted mindfulness interventions can improve the mental, emotional, social and physical health and wellbeing of young people who take part. It has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, emotional reactivity and bad behaviour, improve sleep and self-esteem and bring about greater calmness, relaxation and the ability to manage behaviour and emotions, self -awareness and empathy.

Intuitive Painting

Some people believe that they are not creative or they are unsure how to access their creativity. Art is like a language without words, the communication is through emotions. There is creativity in everybody, how it is expressed is an individual process. Mindfulness teaches you to be aware of your own (negative) thoughts and judgments at the present moment and to let go of them. It also teaches you to open yourself to new feelings that are more positive. Being mindful allows us to tune in to what it is we are doing. It allows us to experience every moment fully. It allows us to experience every moment using all of our senses; seeing, hearing and feeling every moment.

Breeze Life Coaching has created a workshop 'Mind& Body', combining Mindfulness and Pilates.

You can improve your overall well-being by working on your mind and body. Mindfulness teaches awareness in the present moment which is regularly practiced in Pilates. During the movements you use this awareness to help support and provide the correct movement pattern. By performing Pilates exercises you will improve your core strength, flexibility, posture, alignment, balance and coordination, circulation, muscle tone and the correct use of muscles

Pilates was created by Joseph Pilates and is a popular form of exercise. By performing a series of slow, defined exercises, isolated (groups) of muscles are strengthened. Pilates was found to increase Mindfulness and thereby improving your mood, quality of sleep and reducing levels of stress.

The exercises should be performed correctly, taking the time to establish the technique is more important than rushing through them. Greater awareness of the body and its sensations help to better perform the exercises. It is suitable for all levels of fitness.

The basic principle of Pilates is that the abdominal muscles, the so-called “core”, should be strong. Joseph Pilates has always maintained that without a strong core, it is impossible to have a strong body. If you are incapable of stabilising your core, it is impossible to effectively perform most exercises and it enhances the chance of injury. Correct spinal and pelvic alignment and concentration on smooth, flowing movement, help you to become acutely in tune with your body and learn how to control its movement. Proper breathing is essential in Pilates. Using the breath will help you to bring your attention to your body, you will be able to execute the movements precisely, with control and mindfulness.

Dr Ira van der Steenstraten has created a workshop 'Mind&Body', together with Marije Pathuis- Wahle, certified Pilates trainer. The duration is two hours in which the basic principles of Mindfulness and Pilates will be explained, combined with practical exercises.
